Opening the roof (with a bit more drama)

Just a 20 second clip - watch the ceiling!  This is of the guys cutting the roof, again a short clip. and breaking through what will be the entrance. Stage 1 Now to try to remove the concrete: About 1 minute 30 seconds, but the end is worth waiting for!

The site taking shape

 The Topsoil is being moved back The structure will have earth replaced on it and then be seeded with slow/low growing grass and wildflowers. It won't look exactly as it did before, but it will have that feel. Mid November and all the topsoil is now being moved back into place

 The cutting of the window openings begin to make the concrete tank look more like the home it will be.

Looking inside in the daylight

We will be taking the pipes out so that a tanking membrane may be fitted. The one with the ball-cock will feature in the garden.

The difference is amazing as we see the Old Reservoir opened up for the first time in over 75 years. Steels for the openings

Sunlight steaming through the kitchen window! Concrete cut; there is only one thing to do:
