The Reservoir Project

The re-use of a former water tank as a dwelling was conceived by our architect Brendan McMullan together with the then owner.

As I tell elsewhere, the tank was commissioned in 1943 to supply water to the neighbouring Central Ordnance Depot at Old Dalby. It later became part of Severn Trent until they ceased to use it. 

The attraction as a dwelling is in its location on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir, the plot which neighbours fields and a wood and its semi-subterranean position.
