The train/writing room

I have kept since childhood my Marklin HO model railway. It was in the roof space at Hill House and then the top floor at 23 Minster Yard before sharing the garden shed at 26 Lee Road. It now has a place inside alongside my writing desk and book shelves. 

The board on which the layout will be assembled is on detachable legs. The board also has cables attached to it so that it can be raised by a motor winch when the bed settee is needed. It has taken a certain amount of trial and error (not disaster - fingers crossed). The crossed fingers will be replaced by failsafe chains.
